Water is at the heart of adaptation to climate change, serving as the crucial link between society and the environment. Consequently, one of the key activities of the LIFE-CLIMCOOP project is the implementation of natural water retention solutions.
The LIFE-MICACC project has gained a lot of experience in this field, therefore we visited one of the key settlements of the project, Püspökszilágy, to observe their water-retaining solutions and share experience.
Natural water conservation measures are aimed at protecting water resources and addressing water issues. These multifunctional measures will be realized by restoring or maintaining the natural characteristics of ecosystems and water bodies, using natural tools and processes.
The investigation of the best spots for log dams along the Tardona stream is already underway.
